Sriracha hot chili sauce is one of the best sauces you can find. Sriracha (pronounced sear-raw-chah or sir-rotch-ah) is a bright red hot sauce that is becoming very popular. Unlike many other sauces, this red sauce is very tasty. Its sweet heat can easily become your secret weapon. Named after Sri Racha, Thailand, this pasta-like sauce is made from vinegar, garlic, salt, sugar, and chili peppers. The versatile hot stuff can be used as a dipping sauce for just about anything, and it provides a low-calorie flavor. It’s also gaining fame as a go-to street food condiment. The sauce is also known as “rooster sauce.”

You can try this with any of your favorite chili hot sauces. In the following recipe, we used a basic 3:1 ratio of mayo to hot sauce, but you can adjust your heat level to your personal tolerance.

Mayonnaise

The emulsion of egg yolks, seasonings, lemon juice, and oil makes this thick, creamy dressing. Commercial mayonnaise contains 65% oil, and without the egg yolks, this is called salad dressing. Ingredients are available throughout the year. Once you open it, you should refrigerate it. Commercial mayonnaise lasts up to 6 months, while homemade mayonnaise only lasts for 3 to 4 days. Mayonnaise is used as the base for many other sauces.

Mustard

Usually, prepared mustard is made from seasonings, powdered mustard, and a liquid such as vinegar, wine, beer, or water. American mustard is made from white seed, flavored with vinegar, turmeric, and sugar, and is milder. Chinese and European mustards are made from brown seeds, are zestier, and more flavorful. Usually, Chinese mustards are the most pungent and the hottest ones. Dijon mustard is made with black or brown seeds. Ingredients are available throughout the year. It should be stored in a dark, cool place for about 2 years. When opened, it should be refrigerated. Mustard matches well with beef, cabbage, crab, lamb, rabbit, sauerkraut, steaks, avocado, beets, chicken, fish, pork, salmon, sausages, and vinaigrette.

Chili Sauce

A blend of chiles, peppers, sugar, spices, tomatoes, onions, and vinegar is used as a seasoning or condiment. Sriracha is the generic name for a hot sauce from Southeast Asia, named after the town of Si Racha. Sriracha is made from vinegar, chili peppers, sugar, salt, and garlic. Ingredients are available throughout the year.
