1. Cranberry and pomegranate bruschetta

1 pound of cranberries,
1 cup of pomegranate seeds,
1 cup of sugar
1 serrano pepper
½ cup of chopped fresh basil
1 sliced baguette
½ cup of olive oil
6 ounces of cream cheese.

Mix sugar, cranberries, s. peppers and basil into the food processor. Process it for a couple of seconds and add pomegranate. Leave in the fridge for a couple of hours. Take slices of baguette and arrange them on the pan. Brush oil on them and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes on 350 F. When baked spread cheese on every slice, topping it with relish. You can garnish it with basil.

2. Santa Claus Hat Cupcakes

For this recipe, you need only three ingredients. First, one is prebaked cupcakes. The quantity is your choice, depending on how many guests you will have. Second is red frosting and third are miniature marshmallows cut in half. You can use any cupcakes you like, but white and black ones go best with red and white. You will also need a bag for frosting and some kind of tip that will give the texture.
On the top side of a cupcake make the circle, fill it and then add layer by layer, forming the Santa’s hat. Use halved marshmallows to form a circle around the first circle you made with frosting and add one-half on the top.

3. Honey and pineapple glazed ham

10 lb of ham
¼ of a cup of honey
2 cups of squeezed pineapple juice
2 tbsp of sugar
2 tbsp of mustard

To prepare glaze, cook pineapple juice for half of an hour on a stove. Stir it often to avoid sticking. In that time almost half of the juice will evaporate. 5 minutes before it is done, add honey, mustard, and sugar. Set aside while waiting for the ham to be prepared.
To prepare ham, bake it in the baking dish covered with foil in preheated oven on 325 F. Ham is usually prepared in the oven for about 10 minutes per pound. 20 minutes before it is done glaze it with prepared mixture and return to the oven without foil.

4. Rich Christmas sangria

1 sliced orange,
1 sliced apple,
5 ounces of cranberries,
1 sliced pear,
1 l of tonic water and
2 bottles of red wine

Put the cranberries in a pitch for serving and mash them with a spoon so the juice comes out. Add the rest of the fruit and do the same. Add both bottles of wine and stir well. Leave it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours at least, if possible overnight. Before serving add tonic water, stir and garnish with some extra fruit.

5. Brownies and candy Cane Trifle

1 pan of brownies
1 cup of chocolate chips
3 tbsp of butter
1 cup of cream
1 cup of sugar
3 tbsp of corn syrup
½ tsp of peppermint extract
2 cups of whipping cream
¼ of a cup of powdered sugar
1 cup of crushed canes

Cut the brownies to bite size. In a pan put chocolate chips and butter and melt. Add cream, sugar and corn syrup. Let it boil for 6-8 minutes. Add half of prepared mint extract. Cool it down. In other dish combine cream for whipping, powdered sugar and the rest of peppermint extract. Mix with electric mixer until you are satisfied with its consistency. In cups for a serving add a layer of brownies, sauce, cream and crush cans, then repeat again and again until you fill the cup.

6. Christmas M&M cookies

3 eggs,
3 cup of flour,
2 cups of sugar,
2 sticks of butter,
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 tsp of baking soda,
1 tsp of salt,
2 cups of Christmas M&M’s,
1 cup of chocolate chips

In a bowl combine ingredients adding dry ones first. Mix them together using the electric mixer after adding everyone, except M&M’s and chocolate chips. Add those last and stir gently, leaving some for adding them on top of the cookies. Take the chunks of dough and make cookies garnishing them with a couple of M&M’s and chips. Bake them in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 35 min.

7. Cranberry glazed chicken

2 pairs of chicken breasts,
1 can of cranberry sauce,
1 cup of barbecue sauce,
1 chopped onion,
1 tsp of salt,
¼ tsp of black pepper
½ tsp of thyme,
¼ tsp of grounded ginger

This recipe is for the slow cooker, but if you don’t have one just cook it on a stove on a really low temperature. Put breasts and onion in a slow cooker and all other ingredients in a bowl mixing them well. Pour the mixed sauce over the chicken and bake for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low setting. You can serve it with mashed potatoes or rice.

8. Pull-Apart bread in a shape of a Christmas tree

For this recipe, you can use pizza dough or any other dough you like or have already prepared. You will also need cream cheese, mozzarella, 2 tbsp of butter, 1 minced clove of garlic and 3 tbsp of chopped basil. Stretch a dough and cut it into small squares. Add a spoon of mixed cream cheese and mozzarella and make a ball. Using 30 or so balls form a Christmas tree and bake in preheated oven at 400 F for 15 min. when done brush it with butter and sprinkle with basil. You can serve it with marinara sauce or any other sauce of your choice.

9. Winter salad

2 cups of walnuts,
10 ounces of crumbled goat cheese,
1 cup of dried cranberries
2 cups of arugula
6 cups of greens like spinach or kale
1/3 cup of maple syrup
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
seeds from one pomegranate
pinch of crushed red pepper

Put the walnuts on baking sheet and sprinkle them with maple syrup, pepper, salt, cinnamon and crushed red pepper. Bake it in the preheated oven for 15 min on 375 F. Stir every 5 minutes. In a serving bowl adds all other ingredients and baked walnuts after they are cold. For dressing mix olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper to your taste. Add the dressing just before serving.

10. Christmas tree cookies

½ cup of butter
2 cups of powdered sugar
3 cups shredded coconut
2 tbsp of milk
½ tsp of vanilla extract
green food coloring
For glaze
1 cup of white chocolate chips
1 tsp of butter
1 tbsp of milk

On a stove melt butter, remove from heat and stir in all the other ingredients. Add food color enough to get the green color you like. Shape it into cones with your finger. Leave in the fridge of a couple of hours. Melt chocolate chips with butter and milk and dip cones in. You can decorate them with M&M’s or sprinkles.
